COLLEGE/TBTS HECK YEAH
September 12, 2008
So I’m in college at Belmont now. It’s pretty dang sweet. Classes are easy, teachers are cool, my room is freakin sweet. Not too many stresses these days, other than that I have a russian economics professor that I understand about 15% of the time. I guess it shouldn’t be too bad, the book is pretty easy to follow.
Taking Back the Streets 2008 was a major success. God showed up so many ways. I met some awesome people; really pumps me up for next year. The only two injuries we had the whole weekend were as follows: someone stepped on a nail and someone else got bit by a spider. It’s amazing that no one got hurt. I am attaching some photos below so you can see how awesome it was. Words honestly can’t describe how awesome and intimate with God this entire weekend was. I’ll write more about this soon. Here are some photos from the first day:
- August Burns Red at TBTS
- Oh, Sleeper at TBTS
- The Urban Sophisticates at TBTS
- GRITS at TBTS
- Gwen Stacy at TBTS
- Sullivan at TBTS
- War of Ages at TBTS
- Yosemite Mudflap at TBTS
- PM Today at TBTS
- Underneath the Gun at TBTS
- A Kiss For Jersey at TBTS
- AGraceFul at TBTS
- August Burns Red at TBTS
There are a lot more photos from a few other photographers that will be sending me their work very soon, so I’ll post some of that for sure.
make something clear
May 27, 2008
I saw an ad today for “Church Help: How to get more people at your church!”. Why can’t we just put faith toward this and let God do his thing? Maybe God’s plan for a church is to keep it small- maybe people in that church have yet to discover Jesus and what he can do?
I don’t know; it just kind of worries me.
Oh well..

Yeah, it’s been a few months..
Oh well.
I am about to graduate. I am ready for this school year to be over. I am sick of constantly worrying about classes and grades. I can’t wait to start fresh at Belmont next year. My company launched their new website a couple weeks ago. It’s pretty legit; we’ve been getting a lot of hits and good feedback about it. I visited Buckhead Church in Atlanta, GA yesterday, as well as NewSpring in Anderson, SC -both fantastic churches that are going in the right direction!
A couple weeks ago I started to help plan a festival called Taking Back the Sreets 2008 aimed to bring people to Christ and at the same time, raise money for Compassion International. Some of the bands we have booked include: August Burns Red, As Cities Burn, John Mark McMillan, The Glorious Unseen, Oh, Sleeper, Edison Glass, My Children My Bride. Still waiting on a couple headliners to announce….. More info on all this coming soon
party on,

keeping life busy
January 13, 2008
There are definitely some good things about keeping up a busy life; such as feeling like you are constantly accomplishing something, but it can also make you feel like you are losing your mind. Sometimes I get to the point so that I can’t even think straight about one thing for too long haha… But I guess being a senior in high school is supposed to add to the mix being one of those huge things you always have to deal with.. At least I got into college! I am attending Belmont University next fall to study Music Business. I am planning to room with my friend Zach, although he is still awaiting his acceptance letter. I plan to start writing in this every day for as long as I can. I could care less if people read this, but if you’re diggin it, be my guest.
Game on,
Charles
